Hong Kong Trip 2013

Went for a short trip to HongKong last 27th-31st Dec.

I always wanted to go back to HongKong, so I was rlly excited for this trip !
Plus this time round, the family finally had a common free period where we can all go for a short trip tgt.
I had been to HK once but it was during my primary school days when I totally have no recollection of it at all except the old-school photo that is printed on a plate.

*

So here are the highlights of the trip:
I'm left w only like half of the photos cos the files in my card were corrupted.
.·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. Yes ikr THAT SUAY .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

Honestly my stay in HK wasn't a rlly pleasant one!
The ppl we met were quite rude and another thing was the language barrier.
Hong Kongers can't really speak Mandarin and English,
& I can't speak or uds Cantonese for nuts.
So the whole time was worse than a chicken & a duck,
cos I couldn't even try to speak a single word & the feeling sucks big time oh gawdddd.

Kept trying to convert Hokkien to Canto words cos some sounded similiar,
but I decided to stop & let my parents do the job esp when we were in night markets.
When they hear us, they immediately auto generate an inflation in their prices.
But nvm Auntie Koh is here, already mastered the art of slashing prices in BKK. HAHAHHHAHHA.

We were initially contemplating betw Disney Land or Ocean Park.
But decided to go Ocean Park after that cos it's nearer to our hotel !
Oh btw we stayed at Nathan Hotel. Hotel, it was as class as it seems on the website!
But Eaton Hotel looks rlly good & I would definitely try that upon my next trip to HongKong!
It's just a small road opp of our hotel.
Me w my fam at the entrance of Ocean Park !
My family prefers to be shown like that ;D
I mean just stare at it for a bit longer & maybe you can imagine lolol.

For that day, Mummy & I were coincidentally decked in full black from top to toe!

Was awed by the place !
Although it really looks so old school, but the place is so awesome.
It's like a Theme Park cum Zoo cum SEA Aquarium cum everything.
It's rlly worth it!
& I love cable car rides though I'm scared of heights.
Actually it's not rlly the fear of heights when in a cable car,
it's the fear that the cable car drops down into the sea below or smth lolol.
& that's prolly the same reason why I don't take roller roaster rides.

Quite loving the retro-theme there!

& then we took the cable car up to the peak !
I like this cable car cos it's like sitting around a round dining table,
rather than the usual train-like sitting w 2 rows facing each other.

The view while we were on our way up !
So many things in Ocean Park that you can do! Really love it.

A photo that makes me looks so tourissy ;B

Ima always a sucker for dolpins, I love them!
They are like damn smart & super cute.
If I have the chance, I wanna ride on pink dolphins. In my dreams also good luhh.

The good thing is that now they have dolphins at Adventure Cove Waterpark,
I'm so gonna go back just to have contact with the dolphins!

We also went to the Big Buddha & Po Lin Monastery, which burnt one whole day.
I would advise that if you're heading there, go with a one-day tour so that you don't have to queue for 2 hours just for the entrance of the cable car!

The cable car ride took about half an hour, I swear it was one of my longest cable car rides.

After we alighted, we had to continue walking and climbing & when we saw the buddha, our eyes went like *TING TING* ◕◡◕ั. Like as you walk & walk, finally the small buddha from afar becomes this huge, you know you're there! So this is what I've been seeing on teevee!
One thing was I rlly wished they provided joss sticks for ppl to buy.
Like since we're all the way there, smth was definitely missing.
Btw mei yan fang is also placed inside lol lol.

Looks so iceberg lolol. wohenxihuan! ♪(┌・。・)┌

kk that's prolly all the photos I've left.
The rest are all corrupted T.T   @#$*&%#

Thanks for reading ! <3
