Disclaimer: No other ulterior motive for posting this. No direct links of the nude photos were shown to protect the identity of the models. Just to share my experiences.
Not all photographers are indecent. I've come across a fair share of real decent ones ;-)

Many things have been circulating on the social platforms recently.
Here's smth that drawed the attention of mine.
Here's smth that drawed the attention of mine.
An interview done w a nude model whose pictures were shown on the blog:
Many photos of other models were also circulating before this.
If you've been a constant reader of my blog,
you would recall that 2/3 years back I was modelling, chiong-ing events almost everyday.
Freelance models are everywhere, almost every 1 out of 3 girls I know is a freelance model.
It's almost overrated.
Yes it's true, modelling is fun & it's easy money.
Apart from having to wear heels/ boots for really long hours & mostly consecutively for days esp during IT fair, it's really easily earned & fast cash.
8 days of event would prolly be close to a month of a diploma holder's pay.
But yes, it's never enough.
Bcos of greed, some lose themselves amidst of earning more for materialism.

The purpose of this post is not to bitch about it, but based on my previous experiences and from stories that I've heard about other models, girls who are out there doing modelling needs to learn to protect themselves more.
Here are some DOs & DON'Ts for those who are new in modelling:
[p/s: It's not like I've seen a lot. But it's just some advices based on what I used to encounter ]
#1 Before agreeing to photoshoots, checking up on the background of the photographer is essential & if you find them requesting you to do funny poses, tell them firmly or else walk away.
Here is a list of identified photographers for scandals:

Idk how true is that but I'm shocked myself to see some familiar names in it.

If you're prepared to do nude shoots in exchange for a higher rate,
consider if you're able to take the consequences if your photos leak out.
If not, I would think coming up with a mutual contract with the thumbprint as an evidence would be an essential precaution to take.
I usually only do photoshoots with photographers I've known for some time.
& I usually agree only when I look at the fb albums of the photographers' shoots/ google about them.
Like if their previous shoots are all in hotel rooms with semi-nude models,
I don't think they respect the models in the first place & I personally won't agree to the shoot at all.
#2 NEVER ever agree to do photoshoots in hotel rooms.
It's totally common for photographers to approach girls on fb for these photoshoots.
& most of the time your face doesn't seem to be the focus point.
You won't be able to escape if something happens.
So bring a friend along if you insist on doing such shoots & inform another person of the exact location of your shoot in any case something happens.
For me, i've only agreed to fashion-themed shoots.
I'm rather conservative.
Even for events, the most revealing I did was racequeen & the attire is more than a tube top and skirt.
I wasn't even comfortable w doing beer events.
#3 Don't flirt w photographers.
It makes them feel that they can go an inch further & they'll take advantage of it.
#4 When a photographer approaches you for a shoot, but ask you how revealing you'll go for shoots.
They'll normally go like boyfriend themed? Nurse? Bikini ? Top with bikini bottom?
Follow your heart. If you sense that he's not decent, chances are he definitely isn't.
Artistic does not mean you have to be naked.
No matter what you do, don't regret it once you chose to do it ! ((;
xx
